The market status in quo of the secondary batteries and the power batteries for electric vehicles, electric bicycles at home and abroad was analyzed in this paper. The advantages and disadvantages of the traditional secondary batteries and the new type secondary batteries were compared with each other, from the aspects of product performance, cycle life, sale price, safety, environmental protection, and son on. And the development direction and prospects of all kinds of batter/es for electric vehicles were analyzed. Some technique and problems that the power batteries must pay attention , were pointed out, as well as the relative methods to resolve the problems.
