On the Value of the Huyuan Thought from the Vision of the Cultural Transformation Between the Tang and Song Dynasties

在唐宋文化学术思想转型的背景与文化语境之下加以思考,更能凸显出胡瑗思想全面的文化学术价值。正是北宋时期新的时代需要成就了一代大儒胡瑗,正由于胡瑗在人格、教育思想与方法、学术思想等方面都体现了新的时代要求,才有幸得到范仲淹和欧阳修两位宋代士风和宋学开创者的先后举荐。胡瑗开宋学风气之先,赢得了宋代不同政治立场和不同学术流派、观点的代表人物的一致称赞与推崇。

Only by taking into account the cultural background of the Tang and Song dynasties and the cultural context of the academic thought transformation at that time can we highlight the importance of the academic value of Huyuan＇s thought. It was the need of the North Song period that brought forth such a great intellectual as Huyuan and it was his personality, educational thought and approaches, academic thinking etc. that symbolized the need of the new age that he was recommended by Fan Zhongyan and Ouyang Xiu, the two master scholars of the Song Dynasty. Huyuan initiated the Song style of learning, which won the unanimous praise and admiration from the representatives with different political positions, schools and viewpoints.
