摘要 认知语言学与传统语言学不同,其经验主义语义观主张语言意义并不是对外部客观世界的反映,而是人类对客观世界的主观认识的反映。认知语义学在遵从人类认知规律的基础上侧重研究词语和概念结构之间的联系,注重学习者基本认知能力和其经验对习得新知识的影响。认知语言学中的范畴观,原型理论,以及转喻,隐喻等概念对英语词汇教学具有不可替代的价值。 Different from traditional linguistics, cognitive linguistics, especially its experimental semantics, holds that language itself is not the reflection of the physical world, but the human beings' subjective reflection of the perception of the world. Complying with the cognitive patterns, cognitive semantics lays special stress on the relations between vocabulary and the structure of concept as well as the influences over acquisition of new knowledge exerted by the humans' cognitive competence and previous experiences. Some of its basic notions, such as categorization, prototype, the interpretation of metaphor and metonymy have demonstrated significant and incomparable enlightenment on the studying and teaching of the English vocabulary.
