英语专业一二年级学生阅读词汇量和词汇学习策略实证研究 被引量:2

摘要 以某师专英语专业一二年级学生为调查对象,采用问卷和词汇量测试等工具,探究英语专业学生阅读词汇量以及词汇学习策略的总体倾向,比较高低年级学生在词汇量和学习策略运用上的异同。结果表明:英语专业学生的阅读词汇量与教学大纲的要求存在一定的距离;学生普遍不能有效使用各种词汇学习策略;高低年级学生在词汇学习策略的使用上差别不大;词汇学习策略与词汇量之间具有一定的相关性。 This paper reports an empirical study on various kinds of vocabulary learning strategies employed by the English majors at different proficiency levels in the Chinese context. The subjects were the first-year and second- year English majors from a normal college, and the instruments adopted included a questionnaire and a vocabulary test. Detailed analysis of both the qualitative and quantitative data has yielded the findings as follows: 1) the reading vocabulary of the English majors fails to meet the requirements set by the teaching syllabus; the students of English major of the college can not use the vocabulary learning strategies effectively; subjects at different proficiency levels are found not to be significantly different from each other; there exists a certain correlation between vocabulary learning strategies and vocabulary capacity.
