浪漫辩

The Origin of Langman

现代汉语中的"浪漫"一词派生自"浪漫主义"。在日本汉字中,"浪漫"被用来翻译Romantic,后来被中国知识分子借用,用作相同的西方词语的标准译名。但其实,"浪漫"作为一个固定的词语搭配,在中国宋代之时已经出现。本文将追踪"浪漫"一词的历史轨迹,试图通过此一溯源,来指出在现代中国的话语及其所构建出来的"现代"的想象中,西方与中国过去等的各种资源都被充分地调动起来,而并非是绝对而单面的。

This paper is mainly about the history of Langman, a loanword in Modem Chinese, its original in ancient Chinese and the change when it becomes the translation of the English word ＂romanticism＂. And from the history of this loanword, we can fred that not only the western but also the resource of ancient China are used to build up the imagination of Modem China.
