摘要
介绍了霍兰教授提出的复杂适应系统理论,分析、阐述了用于研究复杂适应系统的多agent建模与仿真方法.详细论述了由麻省理工学院多媒体实验室开发的可编程建模工具StarLogo,以及它在复杂系统研究中的应用.结合著名的“生命游戏”实例,说明了利用StarLogo进行模型的设计与实现过程.将StarLogo与美国圣塔菲研究所提出的复杂系统仿真工具Swarm进行了简单的比较,指出利用StarLogo能够简单快速地进行复杂系统的建模与仿真,有助于形象直观地领悟到复杂现象的本质,加强对复杂系统的理解.
The theory of complex adaptive system (CAS) and its research method, called multi-agent based modeling and simulation methodology, are described. The application of StarLogo, which is a programmable modeling tool developed at the MIT media laboratory, to discrete event modeling and simulation of complex systems with heterogeneous agents, is expounded in detail. Then the basic frame and essential principle of StarLogo, and how to use StarLogo to carry out a complex system are discussed emphatically with an example Life Game. In the end, the paper briefly compares StarLogo to Swarm which is proposed by Santa Fe Institute.
