Research On China's Higher Education Reform during the New Period

新时期高等教育影响着我国人才培养、科学研究、经济发展和社会文化走向,高等教育的改革必须适应知识经济的需求,适应科教兴国、民族复兴的需求,适应加入WTO和高等教育国际化需求。为适应新的社会需求,必须协调好大众教育和精英教育、素质教育和应试教育、海外留学和来华留学、普通教育和职业教育的关系。

The higher education has influenced greatly on the tendency of personnel training, scientific research, economic development and social culture during the new period. Accordingly, its reform will conform to the demands for knowledge economy, national growth in science and technology, and nation revival and for the entrance into WTO and educational internationalisation. In order to meet with these demands, some relationships have to be concentrated in unison, such as populace education and elite education, quality- oriented education and examination- oriented education, study abroad and home, general education and vocational education.
