Exploration on“Mount Tai Offering Sacrifices to Heaven”

“泰山封禅”源于《史记·孝武本纪》,司马迁称之为“封禅泰山”。然而这并非司马迁的本意,或为司马迁笔下生误,或为后人抄传的过程中发生笔误。“封禅泰山”在古籍中亦属罕见,只是近代人不辩真伪,将“封禅泰山”改变为“泰山封禅”较为普遍地应用于文学作品中。“泰山封禅”一是不能准确、完整概括“封禅”的内容,再则会轻而易举地使人产生误解,认为封、禅是同时在泰山举行。我们应尊重历史,还“封禅”以真实。

Because modern pepole do not distinguish whether it is true, they take ＂offering sacrifices on Mount Tai＂into ＂Mount Tai offering sacrifices to Heaven＂, which is comparatively and generally applied to the literary works . On one hand , ＂Mount Tai offering sacrifices to Heaven＂ can＇t summarize the content of ＂offering sacrifices to Heaven＂ accurately and completely. On the other hand, it easily makes people misunderstand, and thinks that offering sacrifices to Heaven is held in Mount Tai at the same time. we should respect history, and leave true colours on ＂offering sacrifices to Heaven＂
