EFL writing teaching approach adopted is not a decisive factor in students＇writing ability, because the premise is that students have the language consciousness, which depends on a lot of reading activities. As an efficient reading mode, critical reading mode can greatly promote writing ability. The author here also analyzes the three stages of critical reading mode and their effect on writing.
