摘要
通过大量实例,分析了英语新闻标题的词汇特征、语法灵活性、修辞趣味性,以及标点替代性;从直译、意译、增译、省译、转译等方面,探讨了英语新闻标题汉译的方法。
Through numerous examples, this paper analyses the word features of English news headline and its flexible grammars, interesting rhetorical designs as well as the substitution function of its punctuation marks, then further discusses some techniques of E-C translation of English news headlines, such as literal transla- tion, liberal translation, amplification, omission, conversion and etc.
