An analysis of paradox in Zhu Xiang's poems

朱湘的诗歌表现出一种悖论色彩,即在其诗作中,既有对生命的热情讴歌,又有对死亡的大声礼赞;前期是古典主义唯美的特色,后期则具有鲜明的现代派色彩;既有对人性悖论的困惑,又有对神性的向往。其诗中频频出现诗神这个概念,在世俗社会中,唯有诗神才是诗人心中的乌托邦,但诗神却在现实社会中遭遇尴尬。

Zhu Xiang＇s poems show a kind of paradox, that is, his poems sing the praises of the passion for life and eulogize death, show puzzlement about the paradox of humanity and yearning for deities. The early poems show the aestheticism color of classicalism while the later poems have clear color of modernist school. In his poems often appears the concept of poetic god. In the secular society, only poetic god is the Utopia in the poet＇s mind, but it meets embarrassment.
