战后戴高乐制定的法国外交战略被称为“法国全球战略”,它是法国对中东战略的指导思想。法国在中东通过重新确立与殖民地国家的关系,实行“倾向阿拉伯”的中东政策,以及开展多种形式的合作,帮助中东地区实现和平与发展等战略,不仅发展了法国与中东阿拉伯国家的关系,也使法国在中东地区建立起政治与经济的全面合作关系。中东成为法国再现世界大国地位及其影响的重要地区,同时也是新世纪法美外交战略冲突的集中表现地区。

The French diplomatic strategy framed by General Charles de Gaulle after the Second World War has been entitled as the “French Global Strategy”. It is the guiding ideology of France's strategy in the Middle East. By reestablishing the relationship with its former colonial countries in the Middle East, implementing the “Pro-Arab” policy, making various cooperation and helping the Mid-East countries carry out their strategies of peace and development, France has not only developed relations with the Arabian countries in this area, but also established the comprehensive cooperation with them. The Middle East has now become the important area for France to reproduce its identity of a world power and its influence, and has been the area that largely presents the clashes between French diplomatic strategy and that of the U.S..
