The development of technique of network speeds the step of construction modernization drive of the library. This text analyzed and researched the challenge to the traditional library of network media and its response from the three aspects, i.e. the influence of the network media upon the traditional library, the reflection of the definition of the library, and the mode of the development of the library of higher colleges in the ages of network.
