New research on the status of listening

本文从对学生英语听力现状的调查中发现的问题开始,进而对"听说读写"四项基本技能中的"听"的地位进行新探讨,得出"听"对其它三项技能有着决定性的作用,从而得出发展学生的语言能力一定要从"听"开始。

Thls article tries to find out the true status of listening through doing investigations and researches on the recent conditions of students＇ listening comprehension. It comes to the conclusion that listening is decisive to the other three language abilities. To develop students＇ language competence, educators must first develop students＇ listening ability.
