为了算出机械零件上开有孔、槽的局部区域的应力，而又不必对整个零件进行处理，应用无限区域元是解决这一问题的有效途径。它的应用可使前后处理及计算工作量大为减少。
The Method of Infinite Element is an effective way to obtain local stresses a round an aperture or slot without dealing with the whole machinary part.The amount of work of pre-treatment,post-treatment and computing can be reduced by using the method.
