This paper analyzes on the social symptoms and psychological reasons of the information thirst, points out that we should treat well the patients of the information thirst from the commercial angle and the human care angle, and puts forward some measures for releasing the symptoms of the information thirst, which include perfecting the information network, issuing the important information timely, the information search provider must provide kernel search and intelligent search, and the individual must pay attention to valuable information, etc.
