社会不合理消费现象主要表现为:追求享乐的公款消费、炫耀性和奢侈性消费、部分居民消费不足和消费陋习造成巨大浪费等。导致这些现象出现的原因有:传统不合理消费观念的影响、西方消费主义思潮的侵蚀以及舆论宣传的误导等。为倡导合理消费,提出加强体制建设、加强对消费主体的教育和端正消费舆论导向、树立科学消费观等对策。

The paper lists such harmful consumption phenomena and unreasonable consumer behaviors as： misuse of public funds to indulge in material comfort, showing-off and luxurious consumption, enormous waste caused by insufficient consumption and the bad consumption habit. The factors to cause these phenomena are in many aspects, which can be summed up in the following： the influence of the unreasonable traditional consumption idea, misconception of ideological trend of western consumerism, and misleading of the public opinions. Then it proposes to solve these problems through strengthening the institutional improvement, promoting the education of consumers and correcting their opinions of value.
