Four Layers of the Essence of Beauty

美的本质是一个层级结构,可以分为四个层次:感性物质层,指审美对象所依附的物质存在;中介表象层,指由感性物质所引发出的经主体加工改造过的想象表象;自我呈现层,指主体在对象世界中发现自我、确证自我的层次,这是美本质中的最核心层次;大我呈现层,指在自我呈现的基础上所达到的超越性大我的实现这一审美层次。

The essence of beauty is a structure of layer society, which may be departed into four layers： the layer of sensible matter indicating the material existence to that aesthetic objects adhere; the layer of medi - representation indieating imaginal representation resulted from sensible matter and produced and rebuilt by subjects; the self- presenting layer indicating the layer that subjects can find and confirm themselves, which is the core layer of the essence of beauty; the layer of great ego presenting indicating the layer of realization of the extramundane great ego resulted from the basis of self- presenting.
