Some about adipic acid, such as the quality, utility, market future and production status, and four primary synthesis technologies of adipic acid, including the KA oil method, the C4 alkene method, the biologic method and the cyclohexene method have been introduced. The status and virtues and defects of these technologies have been analyzed and expatiated briefly. Basing on the actuality of adipic acid industry and its synthesis technologies, the development trends of synthesis technologies of adipic acid have been prospected. The synthesis technologies which fit the development, the biologic method and the cyclohexene method which uses ozone as oxidant, have been advised to be emphati- cally researched when the synthesis technologies of adipic acid are renovated or new synthesis technologies are studied.
