摘要
文章考证了向量(矢量)名词在中国的起源和演变过程,探讨了与向量有关的中国早期的数学、物理教学和研究,梳理出向量在中国的传播和发展过程。
＂Xiang liang＂（＂shi liang＂）,a Chinese noun translated from the English term ＂vector＂, whose origin and development in China are introduced. The early education and study about ＂xiang liang＂in mathematics and physics are also discussed. In this paper,the authors trace the spread and development of ＂xiang liang＂ in China.
