New improved cellulosic separator for zinc silver rechargeable batteries

摘要 采用超细金属氧化物与纤维素共同混合制备的隔膜,用于锌银等碱性电池可以同时具有无机隔膜和有机隔膜的优点,避免各自的缺点,是制备性能优良的锌银电池隔膜的理想途径。通过对一种在实验室中制成的复合隔膜和目前使用的水化纤维素隔膜进行比较,初步评估这种复合隔膜用于电池的可行性。实验中测量了隔膜的物理尺寸、拉伸强度、面积电阻、示差扫描量热法(DSC)曲线,并应用于实验电池中,对电池电性能做了初步测试。结果表明,这种隔膜基本满足电池的使用要求,综合性能不低于水化纤维素隔膜。 The multiple separators composed by ultra-fine metallic oxide and cellulose for alkaline rechargeable batteries, such as zinc silver battedes, have the advantages of both inorganic and organic separators and avoid the disadvantages of them. It is an ideal approach of making good separators for zinc silver rechargeable batteries. This paper compared a multiple separator made in laboratory with the hydrate cellulose separators, and made a primary evaluation of the possibility for the application of this type of separators in batteries. The physical dimensions, ten- sile-strength, area resistance, DSC curves were measured in the experiments. The multiple separators were applied in testing batteries for initial electrical performance tests. The result shows that this multiple separator can basically satisfy the requirements and its comprehensive performance is not worse than the hydrate cellulose separators.
