On the Value and Effect of Olinese Credibility Thoughts on the Education of Chinese Language

诚信在中西文化中都得到重视和推崇,并且其基本含义都是一样的,但对诚信观念的理解和作用机理的认识却有不同之处。中国传统的诚信观强调自律,重视的是个人的修身养性。它的这一特性更适合成为华文教育中塑造青少年健康人格的教育内容。而且,传承作为中华民族优良传统美德的诚信思想,也是华文教育的应有之义和优势所在。

Credibility is stressed and praised highly in both Chinese and Western cultures, whose basic connotations are almost the same with differences in the understanding of credibility concept and its effect mechanisms. The Chinese traditional view of credibility stresses self-discipline and attaches importance to cultivating one＇s morality and moulding one＇s temperament, which is preferred to be the educational contents in the moulding of healthy personalities of adolescents in the education of Chinese language. Moreover, imparting credibility thoughts as the traditional virtue of Chinese nation is also the due responsibility and advantages of the education of Chinese language.
