This paper presents basic principle of asynchronous and non-transparent PCI-PCI bridges, and analyzes some questions existing in the system extended with general PCI-PCI bridges. To settle these questions, it proposes some schemes for different application. Finally, it discusses performance of the systems designed with asynchronous and non-transparent bridges.
