The direct coal liquefaction belongs to high-tech industry of coal conversion. This paper gives a present job progress of the Shenhua direct coal liquefaction project. The technological process, features and the advanced technology adopted by the Shenhua direct coal liquefaction plant were expatiated. The commercialization of direct coal liquefaction technology was analyzed. It pointed out that the Shenhua direct coal liquefaction project can be served as an apotheosis for the development of coal liquefaction industry.
