The safety research of the 18650 type Li-ion batteries

摘要 用质量比为5:5和7:3的锰酸锂和包覆镍酸锂混合的复合材料作为正极,球形石墨作为负极,制成18650型锂离子电池并进行了安全性测试.结果表明:在热箱实验中,复合材料组装的电池可以耐145~150℃的高温,且在3 C、10 V和5C、10 V过充电条件下安全可靠.随着复合材料中锰酸锂比例的增加,电池的安全性提高.在电池内装置正温度系数端子(PTC),可提高电池的耐过充性和短路安全性. The 18650 type Li-ion batteries, using composite cathode of LiMn204 and eoated-LiNiO2 with the mass ratio of 5:5 and 7:3, with graphite as anode electrode were assembled, safety tests were carried out. The restdts showed that in the thermal box test, the batteries with composite material were safe at 145 ~ 150 ℃, as well as in the overcharge tests with 3 C, 10 V and 5 C,10 V. With the increasing of the content of LiMn2O4, the safety performance of the battery improved. Fitting a positive temperature coefficient part (PTC) was very useful to improve the overcharge performance and short circuit safety performance.
