陈独秀的抗战政见以其“汉奸”事件为界分为前、后两个时期。在“汉奸”事件后,他与中共的政治对立使其前期抗战政见的内在矛盾进一步演化,其抗战理论与中共的抗战实践由脱离走向严重对立,由此从发动民众的全面抗战倒退到依赖国民党政府的片面抗战,并最终走向悲观主义的泥沼。但抗战救国仍是他思想的主旋律,他仍为中国抗战和社会进步作出了积极的努力。

But sup- porting the Anti - Japanese War was his sturdy position and he kept on striving to push our society to go ahead even in the political adversity in his late years.
