Body Politics and the Representation of Beloved

莫里森十分关注《宠儿》中的女性身体并予以再现,目的在于突出、强调奴隶制对奴隶身体的控制、侵犯与规划;同时莫里森也指出,作为奴隶的非裔美国人积极利用自己受到奴隶制摧残、毁损的身体来确立自己的身份,从而取得颠覆奴隶制强制与摧残的效果。

Morrison pays more attention to the female bodies in Beloved, and represents them in order to foreground and stress the domination, violation and the discipline of African American women＇s bodies by slavery. She also indicates that African Americans, though as slaves, attempt to reuse their maimed and mutilated bodies positively reestablish their identifies, and subvert the compulsion and devastation of the slavery.
