敢为天下先——在广东省博士后工作20周年纪念大会上的讲话

Be Bold Enough to be the First in the World Speech at the 20^(th) Anniversary of Post-docteral Under takings in Guang dong Province

以发展科学和创新知识为使命的博士后所从事的是处于科学前沿的创新性研究工作。作者根据博士后研究工作的特点,结合自己科学研究和创建高等教育学科的经历和切身体会,阐述了博士后从事科学研究要做到敢为天下先、敢于失败、敢坐冷板凳、敢抓机遇、讲究创新方法及敢于持恒,并寄期望于博士后们。

Undertaking the mission of developing science and innovating knowledge, post-doctors are engaged in the most advanced science. According to the characteristics of post-doctoral research, and from personal experiences and understandings of doing research and founding the discipline of higher education science, the author expounds that pest-doctors should be bold enough to be the first in the world, confronting failure, fearing no loneliness, and courageous enough to catch opportunities, to innovate methods and to persist. At last the author places hopes on post-doctors.
