20世纪70年代,中美关系步入正常化。中美关系实现根本性转折的基本因素是国际政治力量的变化。由于美国实力的相对削弱和苏联的战略扩张,由于多极世界的出现、中国的成长及中越关系的变化,才使中美关系正常化的实现成为可能。

Chinese -American relationship has turned to be normal since 1970s. The leading factor that resuited in the fundamental transition in the relationship is the fluctuation of the international political powers. It may be safe to state that the normalization of Chinese - American relationship would be impossible without the relative decay of the power of America, the strategic expansion of Russia, the emergence of international polarization, the growth of China and the changes in the relationship between China and Vietnam.
