Therefore, the national petrochemical industry will be facing fierce competition from multi - national giants and the petrochemical companies from neighboring countries and those from Middle East. To take effective cost management and reduce the cost by all means is one of the best strategies that should be taken by the Chinese petrochemical enterprises. Starting from the actual conditions in China, several suggestions for the enterprises to raise their competitive capabilities were put forward, such as enhancing financial analysis, strengthening capital management, reducing labor cost as well as management and financial expenses, improving production technologies and striving for scale economy.
