2005～2006年度中国教育小康指数为63.2分,比上一年度提高1.2。但教育现状与理想之间的心理落差仍在日益加大。

The education index of 2005~2006 is 63.2, which is 1.2 points morethan that of last year. In 2006, the problems of Chinese education havebeen solved to some extent in the sector of system by the hard work ofChinese government. But it is impossible for the government to changethe educational structure of today in a short period of time. The in-creasing general concern of people is asking for more progress.
