摘要
翻译是两种语言在不同的语言系统和文化之间的转换。本文从外译术语的产生、发展和变异,论述术语翻译受英汉语言内在本质属性和术语翻译规律的制约,同时社会文化外部因素对它的形成和发展也有深刻的影响,外部因素包括社会历史环境、译者的态度、目标语阅读者的宗教信仰、民族文化传统和语言观念。最后考察了术语的变异和发展趋势。
Translation happens between different language and culture systems. This essay, from the creation, evolution and variation of terminology, discusses various factors that affect the translation of terminology both from language natures, English Chinese language disparities, principles of terminology translation and the outside factors including socio-historical environment, translators and traditional culture, religion, and language attitude of target language readers. Meanwhile the variation and future developments of terminology are also discussed.
