近些年中国高等教育在规模快速扩大的同时,带有明显的贵族化倾向,这种倾向使得政府、社会、受教育者都要为高等教育付出较高的成本,它也对高等教育的健康发展产生不可低估的危害。相对于中国现有的经济社会发展水平,众多的受教育者难以承受如此高的成本。产生贵族化倾向的原因是多方面的,其中校领导的业绩观、少数人的利益驱动、片面的评价标准与机制、政府与高校之间的特殊关系是促使高校贵族化的主要原因。矫治高等教育贵族化必须从中国实际出发,确立与中国经济社会发展相适应的高校发展观,厘定高校与政府间的责权关系,在对高校评价时强化对高校的成本核算,形成求实纯朴的校园文化。
