The incident of Yihetuan （anti-imperialist organization at the end of 19th century） is historical, but also modem. In recent years, there has arisen a trend among western scholars in re-recognition of the Yihetuan incident, which influenced the discussion trend in the circle of Chinese scholars. Apart from the powerful channels, the media to link the historical and modem features of Yihetuan incident are approaches to allegorize history and to metaphorize stories. The story of Yihetuan proper is dramatic. It contains the whole process of classic tragedy and represented all details of tragedy. The Yihetuan movement is also a referent of modem cultural concept. Its ultranationalism with rich local colors of North China has some influence on large sealed dramatic mass movement.
