ken-tsai lee was born in Taipei, currently living in New York. He established ken-tsai tee design studio in 1996. In 2002, he moved to New York to continue his career while his parterner Chou Yao-Fong still kept the studio working in Taipei. After coming to New York, lee's tried different media and coorporated with other fields of professionals, such as photographer, animator to explore new methods of design. His first experimental project was made in New York in 2003. "My name is ken-tsai lee" was inspired by Andy warhol's dictum "everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes", so lee wrote his name in different languages, such as Japanese, Korean and so on. Lee made the Iogos to become posters and put up them on streets of New York, he collected the images and publish the book in 2005. In 2006, he posted the images and reported on design forum to combine the two media together.
