摘要
《喧哗与骚动》是福克纳怀着无限悲凉悯恤描绘出的康普生一家的受难图。他摒弃传统小说全知式细节描写,把注意力集中在具有变态心理的人物阴暗混乱的“意识流”上。通过叙述角色的频繁更替,捕捉各种思绪、印象、感觉、回忆和梦幻,多侧面立体地凸现人物,揭示精神极度空虚苦闷的西方“现代人”的病态心理。
The Sound and the Fury is a representative novel of William Faulkner＇ s. Faulkner presents his characters and plot of the novel by his ingenious skill of stream of consciousness. This essay shows Faulkner＇ s gifted talent and literary achievements through an analysis of the characters.
