摘要
20世纪末在国际关系领域中,所谓“认同”的问题得到了广泛的关注。本文认为,国家的自我认同就是国家的自我意识,是国家对于如何“安身(在社会中的定位)立命(存在的意义)”的反思。“他者”是一种对立性的存在。在国家认同的问题上,西方学者往往都倾向于将“自我”与“他者”间的斗争视为达到自我认同的途径。这并不是国际关系学者的独创,因为西方思想的两大源头:古希腊思想和希伯来思想,在对自然和社会的看法中都表达了相似的观点,并且在西方近代思想中也得到了反映。中国传统思想中关于个体自我认同的看法与西方有所不同,在此基础上可以尝试构造中国自己的国家认同理论。
In the field of intemational studies, the issue of identity has been widely getting popular since the end of the 20th century. This article argues that the self-identity of a nation-state means its self-awareness or selfconsciousness, that is, the reflection of the position and meaning of itself. ＂The other＂ is an oppesitional object to oneself. When referring to national identity, Westem scholars tend to emphasize the struggle between ＂the one＂ and ＂the other＂ as the way to reach self-identity. It is not the invention of IR scholars, since there exists the similar opinions in the views of Greek thoughts and Hebrew thoughts on Nature and human society, and the modem Westem thoughts as weU. There may be some difference between Chinese and Western traditional views on this problem, and the creation of a national identity theory with Chinese characteristics is not impossible.
