Refractory fibre is a new type of light-weight refractory material, which not only has the suppleness and strength of the ordinary fibre, but also the heat and corrosion resistance that the ordinary fibre lacks. The heat conductivities of the kiln walls built respectively with fire bncks and refractory fibre was analysed, and the economic benefits and working effects of the two were compared.
