Some Reflection on Court Poem

宫体诗的界定及其产生原因仍有进一步考量的必要。宫体诗狭义、广义两类界定意见还须再作推敲,对其本义及后世此范畴内涵之变动应予兼顾;武人后裔的文人化与高门士族俗化趋势的胶结与融合等因素是宫体诗产生的诱因之一。

There still exists certain necessity to define the royal court poems and the course of their coming into being. Definition in either narrow sense or broad sense requires further elaboration. Some consideration should also be given to their original meaning, the changes of connotation of categories. The cementation and amalgamation of the literati-tendency of descendants of cavaliers and the secularization of nobleman and bureaucrats are the main inducement of the existence of court poems.
