According to the experiment principle of measuring elastic modulus using non-parallel rectangle plank capacitor, the linear expansion coefficient of metal is measured by non-parallel rectangle plank capacitor. The improved instrument reduced the relative nonlinear error and raised the sensitivity of the apparatus.
