宝钢作为中国现代化程度最高的大型钢铁联合企业之一，年产钢突破2000万吨，连续两年跻身世界500强。1998年宝钢股份在全国冶金行业率先通过ISO14001环境管理体系认证；2004年通过综合管理体系英国标准协会（BSI）认证；2005年获得“国家环境友好企业”称号，成为中国冶金行业和上海市首家获此殊荣的企业。
Baosteel is recognized as one of the most modern integrated steel companies in China, it produces over 20 million tons of steel and has been one of the Fortune 500 companies for the past two years. It becomes the firstcompany among its metallurgy peers to obtain ISO 14001 environment certification in 1998. It also passed the certification by BSI for intergrated management systems in 2004. Baosteel was awarded the ＂National Environment-Friendly Enterprise＂ title in 2005 becoming the first winner of the honorable title in Shanghai as well as in China＇s metallurgical industry.
