Current society has entered the information age. The rapid development of Internet has brought great impact on and challenge to publication undertaldng. Networking is the inevitable trend for publication undertaking development. Internet periodicals are the products of the Intemet. The periodical form of new age has new characters, and makes new requirements on the publication personnel. This paper has analyzed the characteristics, current situation and prospects of periodicals in the Internet era, so as to get adapted to the new change and accept the new challenges.
