This paper introduces the composition and working principle of a television signal generator based on CPLD; it explains the logic function design and basic principle in CPLD and the hardware configuration of this system in detail. This television signal generator has many advanced features such as high precision, high reliability, simple circuit and small equipment size Furthermore, programming with hardware description language AHDL makes it easy to expand software functions.
