The structural conditions and typical deterioration of the approach spans on both bank sides of Jiangyin Changjiang River Bridge are presented. The causes leading to the deterioration are analyzed in considerable details, the methods for remedying the deterioration are introduced, and at the same time, the problems common tressed concrete continuous girder bridges are descr y encountered on the existing long-span prestressed concrete continuous girder bridges are described as well.
