The Basic Social Function of a Rural Community College and Its New Internal Rules

农村社区学院的基本社会职能是为社会主义新农村建设提供智力支持。这要求农村社区学院必须进行内部制度创新,即坚持以农村、农业和农民的需要为中心,以普及农村高中后职业技术培训和自考教育为先导,建立以成人、业余在职业培训为主的开放教育体系,形成大协作的办学模式。

The basic social function of a rural community college is to provide an intellectual support for construction of the new socialist rural area. To achieve this aim, a rural community college must reform its internal system, namely, focusing on the needs of countryside, agriculture and peasants; promoting the rural post secondary vocational education and the Self-education Certificate Examination, establishing an open adult education, and building a cooperative management system.
