Reconsideration and Analysis of the Educational Function of Modern Mass Media

摘要 现代传媒是社会文化的载体,它承载着千百年来所形成的人类基本行为规范、基本社会道德伦理,以公众化和潜移默化方式,把古今中外的一切文明传播四方,对社会文化的建构和发展产生了巨大的影响,为个体的社会化提供了丰富的食粮。然而,现代传媒中的非健康内容对个体的影响日趋严重,它影响学校教育的实施和家庭教育的进行,其负面影响不容忽视。文章从现代传媒的性质入手,分析了现代传媒对个体及社会正反两方面的教育与影响的新特点,以及加强对现代传媒法制化与规范化管理的必要性。 Modern mass media are a carrier of social culture. They convey the essential behavior patterns and social ethics of human beings accumulated for thousands of years, and they transmit all the human civilizations, ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign, to all parts of the world by means of public and imperceptible influence. Thus, modern mass media have exerted much impact on the construction and development of social culture and nourished the individual in the process of socialization. However, the unhealthy content they sometimes spread has been doing increasingly serious harm to the individual, even to the extent that they are bringing school education into an awkward position and putting family upbringing into a dilemma. Therefore, the negative effects of modern mass media cannot be ignored. Through an analysis of the nature of modern mass media in the beginning, this paper mainly probes into the new characteristics of positive and negative effects of modern mass media upon beth individual and society, as well as the necessity of regularized administration of modern mass media under the rule of law.
