On Preventing Corruption and Improving the Party's Governing Capability

在改革开放、发展社会主义市场经济和中国共产党长期执政条件下,党如果不坚决反对腐败就有失去执政地位的危险。为了巩固党的执政地位,提高党的执政能力,必须加强教育,发扬民主,健全制度,加大监督力度,并通过体制创新改善领导制度,从源头预防腐败。

Under the condition of reforming and opening up, developing the socialism market economy and the Chinese Communist Party＇s long-term governance, the party would be in danger of losing its governing position if it does not determinedly fight against corruption. To enhance the Party＇s governing position, improve its capability of governance, we should put our strength on educating the party members, developing democracy, perfecting system, strengthening supervision and preventing corruption from its source through institutional innovation and leadership improvement.
