我国是一个农业大国,有八亿多公民在农村,村民选举关系着我国的政治发展进程。村民选举是村民享有的一项政治权利,但实践中村民选举存在很多问题,有许多现实案例,不仅侵犯了我国村民这项基本的民主政治权利,而且大大阻碍了我国政治发展的进程,其中一个重要原因是《村民委员会组织法》中有关村民选举的条款过于原则和抽象。为此,必须完善村委会选举制度,制定《村委会选举法》,保障村民选举权的实现。

The villagers＇ election is a political right enjoyed by villagers, but there exists many problems in practice. The appearance of many actual cases has not only encroached upon their basic political rights, but also greatly hinged the political development. One of the important causes is that the items about villagers＇ election in the Law of Organization of Villagers Committee are too rigid and abstract. Therefore, the government should perfect the election system of village committee, and formulate the Electoral Law of Village Committee in order to guarantee villagers＇ rights to vote.
