策略性沉默运用研究——以《红楼梦》中的策略性沉默为例

A Tentative Study on Application of Strategic Silence——Taking the Strategic Silence in the Dream of Red Mansions as An Example

分别用礼貌原理、权势关系和博弈论解读了《红楼梦》中的策略性沉默语言现象,并指出了策略性沉默在交际中的重要作用。在语言交际中适当地运用沉默可以起到令人意想不到的表达效果,从而增强人际交往的有效性。

Focusing on the phenomenon of strategic silence in the novel the dream of red mansions, this paper analyzes strategic silence from three different aspects： the theory of politeness, social distance and game theory. Finally, it emphasizes that strategic silence plays a major role in communication and it is an effective means that can help people save face or achieve a particular goal. Using strategic si lence at an appropriate time will bring communicators a satisfactory effect.
