Auditing to categorization of concept semantic types in the Unified Medical Language System

介绍了一项用以检查一体化医学语言系统在概念整合过程中发生的语义类型错误的审核技术。该技术通过对语义网络进行数据图表———数据-语义类型———单一交集的逐层划分,控制了需要检查的概念总数,达到事半功倍的效果。

Introduced in this paper is an auditing technique to tind errors and inconsistencies in me categorization of semantic types in the concept integration in the Unified Medical Language System. This technique is based on an expert system reviewing the pure intersections of meta-semantic types of a metaschema and a compact abstract in view of the UMLS Semantic Network. The small, medium and large pure intersections are handled differently by using a divide and conquer approach. By using this approach, the number of concepts reviewed is limited and a high percentage of errors is expected to find.
